The reason I ask for donations is simple. SpeedyShoppingList costs money to host each month. The more I can spend on hosting, the more reliable and the faster SpeedyShoppingList will be. Your donations along with the trickle of ad money that SpeedyShoppingList generates allow me purchase more powerful hosting services.

I originally built SpeedyShoppingList for myself (please see the About page) and I am glad to share it with you in the hope that you will find it as useful as I have. However, I am just a person of normal means with a family and not a whole heck of a lot left of my paycheck at the end of every month. For this reason, I can only spend as much on hosting fees as SpeedyShoppingList generates. Your small donation can definitely make a tangible difference in the quality of SpeedyShoppingList.

If you like SpeedyShoppingList and you use it with any regularity, my hope is that you would consider $5 per year a reasonable donation. Nonetheless, SpeedyShoppingList is offered as a free service so whether or not to donate is entirely your decision.

The sort answer is, yes. I use PayPal's services to process donations. When you click the Donate button above you will be redirected to the SpeedyShoppingList donation page located on PayPal's secure web servers. If you have a PayPal account you can sign in and donate using your PayPal account. However, you don't need to have a PayPal account to donate. If you don't have a PayPal account just look for the "Don't have a PayPal account?" section on the donation page and click the continue link to donate with a credit card.
